It's All Fun & Games {Winter Themed Math & Literacy Activities for Kindergarten}

This math activity and partner game pack is perfect for Kindergarteners during the month of January! Your kids will love the activities because they are fun and engaging; you will LOVE them because the prep-work is super easy and minimal.

Themes included in this packet are: snow, snowmen, snowflakes, winter kids, winter activities and sports, and hot chocolate!

This packet contains a total of 8 different activities. Note: Seven of the activities have multiple version or very similar versions, so you can use the activities more than once, without having to re-explain directions to your students. Some activities are to be played individually, while others are meant to be played with a partner.

All activities include a kid-friendly “I Can” visual directions to promote independence. A table of contents is included to help you easily find the skills or activities you need.

-Spin and Add or Subtract: Students will spin two spinners to create an addition or subtraction sentence. (3 addition, 3 subtraction activities) K.OA.A.1, K.OA.A.2)

-Roll and Make Ten: Students will roll a die and color the objects to make ten. (2 activities) (K.OA.A.4)

-Let's Make Ten: Students will play with a partner as they try to make ten. Includes work mat, ten frame and color counters for additional support. Also includes recording sheet for accountability (K.OA.A.4)

-Roll, Count, and Dab: Students will roll the die as they dab to 100, or students will play with a partner as they roll a pair of dice and dab the number.(3 activities) (K.CC.B.5)

-Before and After: Students will roll dice and record the numbers that come before, after, or before and after. (3 activities) (K.CC.A.1, K.CC.A.2)

-Cube Activities: Skills include addition, ten frames, and 2d shapes (including real-world objects). (5 activities included) (K.OA.A.1, K.OA.A.2, K.NBT.A.1, K.G.A.2)

-Count and Color: Students will count a set of objects and color the corresponding number of objects to record their answer. (2 activities included) (K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Roll, Add, and Cover: A partner game to practice addition and counting on. (2 activities included) (K.OA.A.2)
